Saint Patrick's Day

Who is ready to celebrate St. Patrick's Day? I know I am!!

This holiday originally was a day to celebrate the patron saint who brought christianity to Ireland. Everyone wore there best clothes and went to church on that day. People gathered a bundle of clovers and placed it in there lapel or on their collars. Pubs were required to close down for the celebration and no alcohol was sold on that day.

Today, the holiday has become very Americanized! We all wear green to avoid getting pinched and we even dye the water in the rivers green for the day. Everyone drinks and parties. Just another day for us to drink and cut loose.
